Every year on the fourth Saturday in November, Ukrainian people all over the world come together to commemorate the victims of the Ukrainian genocide famine created by the Soviet government in 1932-33 that claimed the lives of 28,000 people EACH DAY.

This year, Ukrainian San Antonio teamed up with the US Committee for Ukrainian Holodomor-Genoside Awareness for a presentation on the history of Holodomor and to connect with other Ukrainian communities around the globe to commemorate the victims.

This is an important event for our community. We must never forget the innocent victims of this genocide and we must never forget this terrible crime by the totalitarian Soviet regime of man-made famine to starve Ukrainians into submission.

The objective of this event is to bring our community together and raise awareness of Holodomor in the greater San Antonio community.
